My recent prenatal appointment took place last monday, 07/30/07. Everything is fine. The baby is growing at the rate it's supposed to and the pregnancy is going well. I was a bit freaked out when she brought out the doppler and couldn't detect the heart beat after a few minutes. She took in the ultrasound machine and performed a transabdominal sonogram and again, found difficulty in detecting the baby. She did find it though after what felt like years and we both saw the heart beat which the doctor said was fine and healthy. That put a huge smile on my face. Thank goodness. Don't ever scare me like that again, woman! Doesn't she know I'm emotional?! :)

My baby @ 13 weeks & 4 days

That happened to us before around 12 weeks. She couldn't find the heartbeat and we got worried so we did the ultrasound. My bladder was a bit full that day (it was the end of the day) so he was pushed up near my belly button that's why she couldn't hear his heartbeat. We were glad to see he was okay though.
